Pediatric advanced life support (PALS) is a course that is designed for individuals that respond to emergencies to children and infants. Typical participants are nurses, paramedics, doctors and anyone that works in or leads intensive care units. This course is a two day course that takes approximately 12 hours to complete. How Much Does This Course Cost?

The cost of the course is 193.99. Included in the cost of the course is a take home manual and AHA certification costs. If you already own a current AHA manual you can attend the course for 159.99.

What Will I Learn in this Course?

Participants that are enrolled in this course will learn skills and rescue techniques associated with:

  • 1 and 2 rescuer CPR for adult, child and infant victims
  • When and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED)
  • Recognizing and managing cardiac and respiratory emergencies
  • Team management and leadership in rescue scenarios
  • Mechanics and usage of AED’s
  • Pediatric assessments
  • Vascular access

What Certificate Will I Receive?

Participants that successfully complete the skills and written exam components of the course will receive a AHA pediatric advanced life support for healthcare providers certificate that is valid for 2 years.

What Are the Prerequisites for a Pediatric Advanced Life Support Courses?

In order to be eligible for this course participants must have a current BLS for health care provider certificate.
